Ashe 22 breaks away from his usual style with “KH22”! On December 1st, Ashe 22 will unveil his album titled “KH22”. Three weeks ago, he introduced the first preview of this project in collaboration with Baby Gang, an Italian rapper, named “Caracas”. Prior to announcing his project, Ashe 22 had been releasing episodes of his freestyle series titled “Splash.” Heavily influenced by Drill Music, the artist brought his team back into the rap frenzy, especially with Pieges Studios in charge of the video. His eponymous track “KH22”, recently unveiled, reflects his departure from his comfort zone. This song pays tribute to his native Algeria and stands out with a less frenetic rhythm than usual, reminiscent of Freeman’s “Bladi.” It’s a tribute to a country left behind.

The instrumental composition of the track was done by Vito Bendinelli and Tha Trickaz. Vito Bendinelli, who signed six instrumental compositions in the latest album by SCH titled “Autobahn,” also created “Marginaux” by SCH featuring Dinos. Tha Trickaz, a duo of beatmakers composed of Dj iRaize and Pho, two artists of Asian origin with diverse cultural backgrounds, notably produced Kaaris’s track “IRM.” The choice of these beatmakers also underscores the artist’s determination to step out of his comfort zone.
“I dream that my brothers will free themselves from here.”
Just like Freeman, 20 years before him, the artist emotionally reflects on his relationship with the country where he was born. A larger-than-life Ashe 22 like no other.
The visual direction for this project was entrusted to William Thomas, a renowned director. He had previously directed the first release of “KH22” featuring Baby Gang. A significant title in Ashe 22’s career!
