“Child of the fatherland, the day of glory has arrived…” said Booba in “My Star”. JSX made his first appearance alongside Booba in the apocalyptic track “Pompeii”. Signed with Piraterie Music, the artist unveiled his mixtape “Antebellum” three years later, a musical calling card offering a variety of titles. The artist develops his vast repertoire, alternating between darker tracks like “B-45” and more rhythmic pieces like “Mapessa”.

Numerous beatmakers were invited to this project, but Alik & Yako are the most credited on “Antebellum”. This beatmaking duo regularly works with Booba, having produced, for example, the track “RST”. Also featured are Noxious on tracks “Bokassa” and “Montecristo”. The mixtape “Antebellum” is a true journey through the universe of JSX, blending the bass of “Siren’s Song”, the rhythm of “Follow”, and the tempo of “B-45”. Like most contemporary rappers, JSX does not limit himself to a single style, but masters the entire spectrum of urban music.

“Antebellum” led to three music videos, “Mapessa”, Bokassa and “B-45”, the latter unveiled two weeks ago. Booba, the mentor, having retired with the album “Ultra”, leaves behind a generation of artists split between Piraterie Music and 92i. JSX, like SDM, seems to have taken the helm of their respective labels.
