In 2021, Lacrim unveiled the album “Persona non grata”. Without delving into details, the project was notably characterized by its grand storytelling, especially in the trilogy of Reda l’Egyptien. After a period of absence, he returned in 2023 with the EP “Sale époque,” released completely by surprise. And last Friday, before the end of the year, a new EP was released, titled “En attendant Corleone.” For those familiar with Lacrim, Corleone is his first album released after signing with a record label. However, it was released in 2015. This project also achieved gold certification in less than ten days. To celebrate the occasion, the artist unveiled the video for “Fugazi.”

Lacrim thinks you’re a “Fugazi”!

One of the tracks from Lacrim’s eponymous album had the same title. The instrumental production of “Fugazi” was created by Chahid. The beatmaker may be unfamiliar in France, but he has gained a reputation abroad, especially for his work with Dutch rappers. The production is typical of Lacrim’s dark and slightly melancholic instrumentals. In the track, just like in the video, the artist, hailing from Chevilly La Rue, tells a captivating tale of betrayal.

The director Peter Marvu is also an internationally acclaimed filmmaker. Lacrim watches as a spectator as this drama unfolds before his eyes. Filmed in the third person, the rapper perfects his art of storytelling.
